Therapy begins with a comprehensive evaluation (following your physician's protocol). A customized therapy program is developed and when appropriate, therapeutic exercises implemented to help patients reach their goal as quickly and safely as possible. We seek to prevent further injuries through education and learning healthy habits.


 

YOUR FIRST VISIT

In-Clinic Appointments:

You will be greeted by our friendly front office staff to fill out all of the necessary paperwork. To expedite time, you can download the registration forms and bring the completed forms to your first appointment. If you are unable to access forms online, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment to complete necessary forms. Your therapist will then take you for your customized program.

Your entire first visit, from registration to completion of therapy should take no longer than 70 minutes.

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing suitable for movement
    Make sure your clothing is loose and accessible
    to the injury site
  • Doctor's Prescription or Referral
  • Medical Insurance Card
  • Completed Registration Forms

COMING TO AQUATIC THERAPY

At your scheduled visit, proceed pass the check-in counter directly to the changing room. Allow time to change and shower before your session. Therapists will greet you poolside. You do not need to know how to swim for Aquatic Therapy.

Hydraulic seat (at Albany Pool) is available to lower patients into the pool for patients with mobility issues.

What to Bring:

  • Bathing suite (or clothing to get wet in)
  • Bathing cap for long hair
  • Footwear for the pool (optional)
  • Towel and personal toilettery

We ask that you be committed to attend ALL your scheduled appointments.
Cancellations or rescheduling notices must be before 24 hours of scheduled appointment*.

You will be expected to return for a minimum of one follow-up visit.

We recommend scheduling ahead for Patients requiring multiple visits. Our patients have an average of 11 visits per course of treatment. Subsequent visits are a half hour to 75 minutes, pending on condition.
